September — Janosik featured on Polonia Express TV on its 50th anniversary. Janosik's Events 2020The COVID-19 pandemic was hard on us, as it was on all partnered dance groups. To maintain choreography and technique, Monique kept us practicing throughout this difficult time, as we met weekly on Zoom. Of course, we got very tired of trying to “fly across the floor,” with flowing Mazur steps in tiny rooms. In September 2021 we were very glad to be back with in-person practices in Monique’s Professional Dance Academy studio, and performances started up in October of 2021. Even though we did not have dance performances, we took advantage of the time to perform significant maintenance work on our 15-region costume collection. Every costume was painstakingly inspected, and many were repaired by an expert seamstress. The storage area was completely emptied and deep cleaned. We were awarded a grant to fund this endeavour.
